A Bright Star

Danica was born on October 22, 2009 in Abbotsford, BC. In 2011, she moved to Summerland and attended SBC Preschool, Giants Head School, Summerland Middle School, and briefly, Summerland Secondary School. She brought a special light to our community with her unwavering kindness, sense of fairness, and inclusivity.

Danica enjoyed painting, drawing, dancing, swimming, camping, gaming, traveling, and spending time with her friends. She was always eager to visit Scandia, Energyplex, Airhouse, and Boston Pizza. Her adventures took her to many wonderful places, including Victoria, the Kootenays, Moose Jaw, Calgary, Wenatchee, Zurich, Paris, and Disneyland, among others.

Her favorite video games were Minecraft, Mario Kart, Cassette Beasts, and Just Dance. She loved to build LEGO sets, especially those themed around Star Wars, including The Mandalorian. Danica was proud of her collection of over 7,000 Scandia bucks, diligently saving for "the biggest stuffie" they had.

Danica also spent significant time at BC Children's Hospital, where she received exceptional care from their amazing facilities and extraordinary medical team.
